Global variable as scene trigger?

Question

Posted

I'm trying to trigger a Block scene on HC2 (newest SW/FW) using a global variable, but nothing happens, nor converting it to LUA either. The scene runs fine by pressing "play".

This should be possible to do without problems?

I have multiple scene's which are triggered by global variable, so it should work (although I only have LUA scene's)

It only triggers when the value of the global variable "HusStatus" will be changed from a value which is not "Borte" to "Borte".

How do you test your scene?

If you change the variable via the Variable Panel, it does not work. It has to be changed by a scene/VD.

    Hi

The trigger conditions should be correct, that variable "HusStatus"(homestatus) changes between Borte(away) and Hjemme(home), and are controlled by some other scene/VD.

I was not aware of the fact that using the panel to change variable value would not trigger scenes. But I have also tried to just wait and let the scene trigger "naturally" but nothing happend then either. This scene was supposed to send a notification when HusStatus"(homestatus) changed value, quite simple.

I found a workaround by changing the desired variable in some other scene. A little more work to keep track on where all changes are done, but works fine.

    Thanks for helping!
