Hi Everyone,

is is it not true that the FGS-212 can be used as a switch to control a volt-free connection?

i have a garage door that only needs a trigger, no power to open and close. Can I then use the FGS-212?

i guess I should connect L/N to the device and then let the Q/I to act as a separated I/o port? Is this true?

These two connections are completely separated? Since I don't want any power to the I/O port. Just a pulse.

will this work?

Thanks!

I believe the single and double relays have "clean" contacts.

The double switch 2 does not.

Strange thing happened that I would like to clear out. I was under the impression that the IN/Q was the "clean" contact?

I connected the device to L/N and powered it up. While on power I connected the IN/Q but did then got a "spark of light" while attaching the cable to IN. so it seems like it got power.

Or what happened? I know that I should not connect anything while on power. But why did I get this "spark of light"? Shouldn't they be "volt-free"?
