Zwave connection distance for HCL

Question

Posted

Hi,

I installed HCL near my modem in the garage.

But i not even get signal for floodsensor or firealarm or powerplug in my livingroom or bathroom.

The rooms are just near the garage. ( separated by 1 wall 14 cm brick's )

i not understand why it not work on a 10 meter distance.

I have to change the HCL to my livingroom ?

what if i install dimmer 2 in sleepingroom upstairs ? zwave is strong enough to pic up signal ?

2) someone explain me what means never breached for floodsensor ?

i get temperature from floodsensor and firealarm,  but never breached means what ?

thx

you should place the hcl in the center of youre home.

are those the only devices you have? only powered devices are acting as repeaters

so the powerplug close by would do the trick,

never breached men (i guess) no water
