Dear Fibaro and all reading,
In addition to announcing their quarterly figures Intel released a notification in which they warned for problems with their Atom 2000-series CPU.
Additional details can be found here:
Please login or register to see this link.
Due to the discovered problems there is an increase in CPUs breaking. Multiple vendors' products are affected; ie Supermicro, Cisco, Synology etc.
Several of these companies have started replacement programs for their affected products because of this.
Affected Intel Atoms are the B0-steppings of the following CPUs to be precise:
Atom C2308, C2338, C2350, C2358, C2508, C2518, C2530, C2538, C2550, C2558, C2718, C2730, C2738, C2750 and C2758
Fibaro, can you please comment and/or confirm:
- I have seen different board being used in Home Center 2's throughout the years; not sure whether all contain the same CPU. Either way; Can you please advise whether there are ANY Home Center 2's out in the field with an affected CPU in them?
- If the answer to the previous question is positive; how can we check for any specific HC2 whether it has such a CPU?
- If the answer to the first question is positive: What will Fibar Group do with this situation?
Please advise. Looking forward to hearing back.
