Hi @FamousMrBlonde and welcome to Fibaro forum!

I use two Foscam PTZ cameras model FI9828P cameras and they are working ok. I even made virtual device to control them (PTZ preset positions, guard position + cruise & focus & zoom).

Thanks @Sankotronic

Could I ask how good the image is in night mode.

I have a number of 3MP HK Vision cameras and they have a fantastic image during the day but not great at night without some lights to help out

Hi @AutoFrank,

For me it is quite good considering their price. But here are picture taken from both of them during night and during day:

First picture has help from street lights but other one entirely depends on its IR LEDs.

These two are taken during daylight:

Now you can see part of our paradise :-)

@Sankotronic

and a nice spot it is... :-)

loving the sun at the end of november...

Those night images are excellent, make mine look like a piece of crap :-(

Do you have any issue with water on the lens during or after a rain shower

I much look up the spec of the camera

I'm not a big fan of that style of camera, especially for the front but presumably foscam do other types of cameras.

I just took a quick on amzon.co.uk and at 180 sterling they are very reasonable

thanks for sharing...

Hi @AutoFrank,

Sometimes during heavy showers and winds I can see only water drops since there is no wipers to clean dome, but with normal rain it is ok. From time to time I have to clean camera dome with dry piece of cloth but not too often.

  • Thanks for the info. I was looking at Foscam C1 cameras for indoors, I am not sure how to make a virtual device yet but am going to have a play around when I get some time spare.

I am not sure about how to set up a standard ip camera, need a crash course lol

    - Internec

    - Dahua (some have no mjpeg)

    - Luna IP cams (from http://its-sicherheit.de they all works with Fibaro), they are Dahua Cams with mjpg support in the firmware

    Hi @PGL,

I already shared code which you can use to build your own VD. Check it here:
