HC Lite Siri Control

Question

Posted

Hi guys,

I have seen reference to control of devices with Siri, but I seem to be missing something there is talk about installing HA Bridge and other stuff.

1, Is there a step by step guide

2, I have a Raspberry Pi setup to use my Echo Dot, could this be used for Siri

3, Lots of talk about HomeKit, Will I need this

Cheers in advance

Search home bridge on this forum the links for installing this on a Raspberry pi are there.

The step by step guide is there but a bit scratchey, for me anyway but got there in the end.

You dont need "home kit"sset up  just HC2 or HCL and pi.

There is a ios app once you have loaded pi as per in instructions which helps you sort devices into rooms once pi is up and running.

All works well although i found i had to rename some rooms that siri couldnt understand.

Good luck

The linux progaming and setting up was the bit I struggled with so if you have experience with that you should be ok.

Yes iphone or ipad with siri
