Hi guys,
I'm currently thinking about making my home smart, but after reading all these articles, sites and forums I'm kinda lost.
My current choice is fibaro, but I'm not sure if it will meet all my expectations, so that's why I have to ask you for help.
Let me explain what I want at my house:
- flood & smoke sensor
- temperature control
- light control
In the future to be extended with:
- electric curtains
- window/door sensors
- sound
- google home or alexa
And this causes some questions for me:
1. For first: do I need the HCL or HC2?
2. For temperature control I thought about the danfoss connect thermostat - does it correctly work with fibaro? I just want to make some setups, that for ex. the temperature goes down when I'm at work or if it's night the temperature in the kitchen goes down but in the bedroom it will be warmer.
3. Light control - probably Philips Hue. Is the control through fibaro fully proficient? I want this bulbs and LED strips in all rooms. Additionally in the hallway with a motion sensor from fibaro or philips (ex. at night when detecting movement it turns on dimmed).
4. If I'll use Hue - can it be then only steered by the app? Or can I still normally use the traditional wall switch? I mean If I'll turn off the lights through the app and then manually turn on the lights with the wall switch. Will it work? Or do I have for first turn it on through the app? I'm just wondering if both don't "exclude" themself.
5. I wan't to use the Hue also with my ambilight TV - will it work even if the Hue will be connected with fibaro?
6. Electric curtains - probably the ones from somfy - can they be integrated with fibaro? And maybe automated that they will close when dusk (but for this I'll need probably the motion sensor?).
7. Google home/alexa - can fibaro be used with these systems? I mean for ex. "Ok google, turn the lights in the living room on", "set the temperature to 22*C", "close the curtains in the bedroom" or "play some music in the kitchen".
Ok, I think this will be enough for now
Hope you can help me, I would realy appreciate.
thanks!
