Can someone recommend a DSC alarm that work with fibaro plugin or whit VD plugin?

PC1616, 1632, or 1664 paired with an EVL-4 module will work with new Fibaro plugin, but there is no "Stay" and "Away" arming so its not very useful. I would recommend using a VD instead. I have a vera edge controller that has a great DSC plugin, I use it to pass alarm info to a custom VD.

Feel free to use my VD "DSCengine". I created it as the plugin with fibaro HC2 lacks all info I want/need and Fibaro tech staff said I could not get the rights I needed to build and publish my own Fibaro plugin (not at the moment they said). So then I created the integration HC2 <-> DSC  as a VD instead.... It is rock stable. But it requires an EnvisaLink card put into your PC16xx alarm.

 

The quick guide will give some hints how to start...

It can among other things trigger any scene with your DSC door,pir,glass,sabotage-sensors, send you e-mail when sensors breach, ARM and DISARM through the phone app, logg anything to Fibaro debug log or to syslog at any server (windows or Linux). I can also tell you if the DSC is out of main power, battery fails etc etc.

 

There is another post regarding this as well.

 

I created it for myself, but noticed that many wanted the same as me. Therefor I put out the code publicly and also created some documentation.

You can use the HC2 envisalink plugin. But you have such limited functionality with it. Therefor I developed one myself that a bunch of people now uses.

@Mediacut I have a DSC 1864 with EVL-4 and PK-5500 keypad. It works like a charm.with HC2. I recommend the POS VD instead of the Fibaro plugin. It offers way more functionalities and it's really stable.

I just receive my devices, and i have some questions:

 

Where can i find  [PASSWORD (Text string with password) Login password to the Envisalink card in your DSC alarm] 

 

I can use to disarm alarm online from EnvisaLink 4 link, but i can't add alarm to my fibaro.

I try also fibaro defaul plugin, same thing, i can't se alarm on fibaro.

I found that the default password is ‘user’

Now I can login to local ip with user name ‘user’ and password ‘user’ but can’t add alarm to Fibaro, is any things that need to do?

If you have any trouble, I suggest you click om the "debug"-tab of the DSCengine VD to look for errors.

 

But really... You should only have to fill in the config variables DCFG_SETUP and DCFG_ZONEMAP and name your zones and all should work directly.  And you want correct icons and usernames you in addition also have to fill in DCFG_ICONS and DCFG_USERMAP.

 

If the DSCengine plugin should be able to connect to the envisalink, the IP and PASSWORD settings in the DCFG_SETUP variable both must be correct. Note that the Fibaro plugin must be disabled as the envisalink can have only one connection at a time. If you want to use DSCengine, other connections like std Fibaro plugin must be disabled.

 

PS

Also the PIN setting is the DSC alarm pin code used by HC2 for stuff that needs a PIN against the DSC alarm. So that has nothing to do with the PASSWORD against envisalink.

I finaly setup, all work great but i can't change icons and rename buttons. After reset HC2 all come back to default.

I can now use Fibaro to arm and disarm DSC via EnvisaLink 4 on VD.

 

To be onest i like more the default Envisalink 4 default Fibaro plugin, i like how i can add each sensor to his room. I can't setup DSC Plugin, i try several settings, no success. If someone can share some information will be great.

 

I found some issue there, i can't arm a partition on a scene, i can arm partition only manual.

 

1.Somebody know how to add partition in a scene, for example when a fibaro motion sensor arm, then PARTITION1 on DSC to be also armed?

How to find ID of this Partition to use in LUA? 

 

I what to make a scene, so i can use fibaro alarm + envisalink plugin, in this case to use alarms together. My DSC is connected to a security company, in this moment Fibaro plugin only arm sensors, not arm partition.

2.Other issue i found on Envisalink 4 default Fibaro plugin is the thing that i can't add alarm to a specific room. For example i set to ALARMA room, but not save.

3.Other issue i found is about zones, Fibaro show 64 zones, i have my alarm board only whit 8. Looks bad to show all zones.

You arm a partition and not a zone!  You are stuck with the HC2 built in DSC or envisalink plugins. That is why I wrote the DSCengine...

 

The DSCengine VD can do all you want and more. But reading the quick guide is needed. You also have examples there. I takes 5 minutes to get it running

Hello,

Work great your VD i set.

One question, how to rename partitions, and how to translate. I try but after some reset of fibaro it's create new devices whit your names DSCpartition1, same whit translate.....it's restore to default.

You cannot rename the VDs DSCengine, DSCpartition1, DSCpartition2 and DSClogger. Well you can edit the lua in many different places... Use them as is.

 

In scenes you use the zones and other global variables the system have created for you( the zones from my alarm  should be removed as stated in the docs).

Yes, i can arm and disarm throught DSC Partition 1 VD.

Also i set some scenes an now i can arm Partition1 when fibaro standard alarm arm, so when i arm any fibaro sensor, DSC alarm arm also.

Have you named your dsc users in the DCFG_USERMAP?

Have you set icons? You should be able to follow the Wuick guide PDF there and fill the DCFG_ICONS multi variable to have decent icons for armed and disarmed state

I create a simple scene, when a fibaro sensor is armed, to set partition1 away, and when fibaro sensor is disarmed to set partition1 to disarm, but why sometimes works and sometime no?

Is something i do wrong?

Increase debug to 3 or 4. Then send me the debug log from the DSCengine VD to look at. Also, please send the scene you have problem with. Don forgot do mask your secret codes if they are seen.
