Question

I plan to use Node-red for some functions. How can I authenticate via the HC2 API?

Almost a year after your question, but maybe useful for others:

Put a 'http request node' in your flow.

Direct the URL to the IP plus your API action. Do not prefix your URL with http://. The node will fail !

Use basic authentication like in the example below.

Happy coding!

hi

ive seen your posts they are very interesting. i only have the problem that i dont know how to change the dimm lvl for alexa in node red.

I only want to use node red for alexa because the fibaro skills are very lame and not good. i call the lights from node red via http call.

can you tell me how we can change the dimm lvl for a lamp using node red? i dont have any idea what i must use for nodes because my programming skills are very very bad

can anyone provide some instructions on how-to setup node-red to change a variable in HC2. I am not a developer but willing to learn.
