Global polling or not?

Question

Posted

I have over 50 devices and about 3/5 are mains powered. But to me the system seems to be a little sluggish. I have set the polling time to the recommended 440 secs. Fibaro The Button for instance has stopped working almost all together, but that might not be related. My question is: Should I remove as many devices (mains powered and/or battery powered) as possible from global polling or should as many as possible (mains powered and/or battery powered) be included in global polling? And will it help either way?

Thanks

Ole

@Ole, Battery devices should have their own wake-up time, which could be even several hours, so i do not recommend changing it into global polling. Batteries will have then shorten life.

Main powered devices (230V) should be in global polling, if it's not in contradiction with product manual.
