Lua Lights off timer - multiple instances

Question

Posted

This Lua scene (see end of post) turns off the pantry light 60 seconds after the motion sensor (ID 131) returns to the "safe" state. It's converted from a graphical scene with some minor modifications of my own. I also borrowed this code from Zoran @Sankotronic("main scene for time based events control") (thank you) because I often get the annoying HC2 notification of multiple scenes running. This scene is set with max instances to 4 as per @Sankotronic suggestion.

It works well most (99%?) of the time, but occasionally, after an abort, the scene never runs again and the lights stay on. If you move in the room to trigger the scene again, it will function properly.  Note that aborts happen if you move in the room again during a timeout period from a previous motion trigger.

Can anyone suggest why it sometimes stops forever after the multiple scene abort?
