Amazon Alexa + Fibaro skill +HC2

robmac

Question

Hi all and @Fibaro,

I have been running the Alexa skill for a number of weeks and mostly it works with no issue.

I have noticed that occasionally that while Alexa says OK when turning off the devices it looks like the wrong command is sent to HC2. I see transferred OK reported on the device but the device does not change state.

All of the devices that are causing the issues are Fibaro switch2 devices that I had tested with the scene events functionality. I set Parameter 28 so that the functionality was no longer active and this appears to have fixed the issue.

Please can somebody else test this to confirm that there is a bug in the skill, HC2 or the switch2 firmware that when parameter 28 is set prevents the Alexa skill turning off the switch2 device.

cheers,

Robert

In the past with the HA Bridge my dimmer 1 light would not turn on every time but would turn off, I changed it so it was a scene for off and scene for on.

some of the time although I said turn on Alexa turned it off, which is easier to see on a scene.

try using a scenes for diagnosis!!
