dimmer scene control

hello all. Ive got a problem with my dimmer 2. its works fine ( turns off/ on dims ets) until you set it to scene activation. yesterday we have to flick the light switch ( momentary switch) 8 times until the light stayed on in the dinning room, it just comes on then goes straight out. Ive tried setting the dimmer remote so that 14 ( double click ) turns on a light in a different room ( conservatory) and 16 ( single click) turns on the light in that room ( dining room). the double click ( conservatory light) works fine but the dinning room light ( single click) is the problem. Ive got the same setup in the bathroom and it does exactly the same with a single click not working to turn ont he light. anyone got any ideas where im going wrong.
