Roller shutter and Garage door

ggoetz56

Question

I can't believe that this is not discussed in the Forum, but I don't find scenes, vd's or any other soultions for opening a gate, door, garage etc. So maybe a link will do.

My quest with HC2 is to command a sliding gate (carport). If you believe in roller shutter 2 manual, it is the correct device for doing that. But this will control the motor its self.

Ich have a "hörman lineamatic P" which provides the wiring for a pushbutton switch for external control. This seems to me the much better way  to connect HC2 with the motorized gate. I tested a double switch doing that, but im not absolutly convinced about my solution.

So maybe some one has posted his solution or knows any articles about that issue.

Thanks for any hints

Gerhard

@ggoetz56

the method posted on the above link is the best way. it maintains all the safety features of the gates, doors etc

i use these relays all the time and adjust the parameter for auto-off to 1 sec.

you need to use the first gen relay modules NOT the ver 2 as they dont have the IN terminals on them

  • Thank you both. Very great support.

So I will install the switch tomorrow. Till now Its not abolutly clear to me how I achieve partial opening of the gate, but this may be after installing.

Following Landshark s link I see its a different motor. My Hörmann wirering diagram  shows to connect pin 20 and 21 for full open and 20 and 23 for partial open.

Im lucky that I reserved an old single switch module for nearly a year ago for this purpose.

    I will report ............

@ggoetz, I should start with putting the switch (

) in parallel with pin 20 and 21 and see how it behaves and like morpheus is saying you need change parameter 4 to 1 sec (in order to simulate a momentary switch). I'm using this setup for the garage door and it works flawless.

  • At least I used an fgs 223 switch. Connected 21 with Q1 an 23 with Q2, L with 20.

    Works fine.

    Thanxs for your support.
