Hi,

I appreciate your time for reading this

I am going to get the Fibaro Home centre 2 in the next few months. I will be buying Foscam FI9961EP and Foscam FI9901EP cameras.

I cannot find a list of compatible cameras anywhere, any idea how I can be sure that these will work.

Also, I would like to record video for a specific duration (say last 24 hours) in a loop on my NAS for all the cameras, is this possible?

Also, is there any way I can record video from a specific camera for a defined duration when say a window alarm goes off?

I am new to this and appreciate your help.

Hi @andyss,

and welcome to the forum.

If yours camera has MJPEG and JPEG available through http protocol, then you can integrate anything. I see that Foscam FI9961EP has only JPG though http and video (FFMPEG) is available through rtsp protocol. So you cannot integrate video from this camera to Fibaro.

If you want some list of cameras, that other tested. Please, look folowing topic.

Regarding video record. That depends on your camera nad NAS :D. Fibaro just receives snapshot and video through camera.

RTSP should be foreseen in Fibaro. It's newer protocol. Why not H264?

Yes. Although there are alternatives; Id strongly advise to look into a Synology NAS, which comes with Surveillance Center (which is pretty awesome imho)

To stick with Surveillance Center; yes. Through it's api you can initiate recordings.. Which you can trigger from your home center based on status change on motion sensors for example.
