Hi guys,

so before going to fibaro support i have one issue, and i'm hopping someone already solve it...

I just installed new motor on one of my blinds (previous motor died from thunder storm, FGR working) and now i need to determine on the motor min and max position, but FGR-222 isn't allowing me to move blinds further than previous calibration was.

I restarted FGR but now i can't even calibrate it or move motor in any direction, there is just clicking from FGR and that's it...

Does anybody have idea what it could be, or is there any way to disable FGR so that only wall switch is working?

Wiers are not approachable...

EDIT: HCL v.4.130

FGR-222 v2.2

I had yesterday the same problem, but i look on the motor and there ware 2 buttons on. This is to set the maximum down and up position of the motor. I have set the position right and after that i recalibrate the position in the fibaro and its working now.

In the Fibaro HCL or HC2, there is a calibrate button that forces the controller to recalibrate the min and max position.

Have you looked into the

(just google for FGR-222 manual)? There are 4 other methods listed there to calibrate min and max:

  • Calibrate Button
  • Set the parameter 29 value
  • Sequence of pressing and releasing one button (S1 or S2)
  • Using the B-button on the module
  • Some advanced z-wave trickery

Good Luck

Is the calibration time-based? Because when I put the slider on 50%, the blinds are not in the middle of the window.

@Sjekke, It calculate time.

According to my findings and chcecking when blinds are in end-point, then there should slight bigger consumtion and there it calculates endpoint, if i'm not mistaken.

i will do a check with a chrono ...

The end points are determined because of limiting switches in your blinds motor that cut the power of when reaching them.

The calculation is time based. the reason why this is not the physical mid position but a little but under is because, by rolling up, the roll diameter gets bigger and thus the displacement per amount rolled off.

I fully agree with you ... that's what I also thought. Adjusting not possible I presume?

First you have to set the upper- and lowest point on the motor. This done by two screws on the ring of the motor that comes out of the tube.

Then you can perform a calibration with your HCL or HC2.

I changed all my blinds from manual to automatic control and that's the I did it and that's working well

There are different ways to set the lowest and upper point, this is different with motor you have.
