Control Roller shutter 2 without HC

Kostas

Question

Dear all,

I planning to install 9 fibaro roller shutter 2 (FGR 222) modules to control my Somfy LT 50 motors.

I DO NOT have a HC-2 gateway, and I would like to control the shades with a remote controller such as AEON minimote or Fibaro keyfob or Z-Wave Duwi.

Are any of the above compatible with the FGR 222 without the presence of a HC gateway?

Thanks in advance

you can't use zwave modules if there are not added to a controller

sometimes you can use them without the controller, so you have to borrow a controller add them all and then associate the minimotes to the shutter modules.

and if it will work???? no idea, test and find out

The modules have some basic functionality straight out of the box but nothing remotely. You'll be able to control your blinds by using the S1 and S2 buttons but nothing more.

By a cheap Zwave stick if you don't want to invest in HC2.

    Thanks for the info Sjekke,

    so if i understand correctly:

I connect the Zwave stick to a PC or laptop, donwload the required software or driver and the stick will make a zwave network with my FGR 222 and remote controller ?

Then through the software I can associate the remote controller with the FGRs?
