Question

Ok so i've been having alot of 503 server not available issues and having to reboot alot.
So I thought i'd do a factory reset. Low and behold I can't connect to the home center 2 using the finder.
I had a read though post about holding the "+" button down for too long(which i think i've done) and the i.p. address being set to 192.168.81.1.
I have tried to connect directly to my iMac and changing the ethernet address port to 192.168.81.2 and the subnet Mask to 255.255.0.0
What else can I do?
I am in no means I.T. savvy i just follow what I find please! can someone tell me what i've done wrong and how I can restore the back-up I have saved on the home center!
