Question

Posted

Hi,

I set up a new FIBARO system and want to define Sections and Rooms.

If I do it on website (on PC) there's no problem with definition - all works smoothly, sections and rooms are available.

But afterwards no Room is visible in Adroid App (1 room - Undefinied only) or in Tablet App.

If I delete all the definitions and want to define it in Adroid App - A Room appears in Web-app but not in Android App (when Saving a new room, processing doesn't want to stop, if I interrrupt room is not visible in Android-App, nor in Tablet-App).

What there could be an issue with this Basic functionality? Do you have the same?

Best regards,

KDA

@KDA,

Did you palce devices in your new rooms? Application doew not show any rooms without any devices (blank rooms). I would consider this as feature and not a bug or issue.

No. So first I shall define rooms in Web-App, add devices to those rooms and then it should be visible in Android (and in Tablet app), yes?

    I'll check it.

But still it is a strange behaviour (strange logic) - it means "Add Room" shall be removed from both Android and Tablet App - or corrected,

because you're not able to add devices to your room before the room is defined :)

Now "Add Room" doesn't work in Android App (it hangs the application) and this is definetely a bug.

You, could define Rooms in Mobile/Tablet App. Then you can add device to a room if you add device via Mobile/Tablet app. It is part of inclusion process.

If you have all devices in your system, then you have to use web interface, to set devices to a rooms (simply drag and drop ;)).

Then in an mobile and tablet app go to Setting and click on "Restore Network Data" or something like that. It is second button from a top in settings.

Please, read my 1st line in this post again :D. Not Quoted one.

App is made that way, if you add device via the app, then you will get to possibility to add device into room and not change it. Also please note, that mobile/tablet app is made as an control interface for your home, not a configuration one.

It works in 1.16.0. So i think it is fixed.
