    Hello,

I don't like idea to have another hub connected.

@Mediacut, first of all, do you have Android or iOS device?

I believe there is still issue with colorController type devices, so nothing except Fibaro RGBW cannot be controlled via iPhone app. I'm recomend to customers with iOS Domitech bulbs (link below) and they work great. If you have Android i would not be afraid of RGBW bulbs. But still i would go with Aeon. I do not know Hank and i do not trsut Zipato.

I happen to have a Hank (rbgww i believe) and a Domitech (2700k white) sitting on my desk at home.. Will try them tonight and let you know what I think :)

Right, so I tested for you:

    - Domitech

    - Hank

    - Zipato Bulb2

All were discovered as regular lights, so without templates or RGB(W) stuff.

Maybe you can control them by rgb commands to them using LUA; haven't tried to be honest.. Only realized while typing this :D

Anyway, if Id have to make an educated guess when it comes to tempratures:

    Domitech - 2700k

    Zipato Bulb2 - 3400k

    Hank - 4200k

..My god what was that Hank bulb cold! It's Chinese, and well, without trying to insult anyone, but if you have ever visit a typical Chinese living room (the brighter the better), this seems to match their idea of cozy indeed! :D

The Domitech and Zipato were both pretty nice for my living room, where I liked the warmer Domitech a little better than the Zipato, but that's a matter of taste. I mean, if you like to have the constant feeling like you are in your dentist's waiting room, you can even choose the Hank. :D

Having that said, the Zipato IS RGBW(W), while the Domitech is only WW. THis is not supported in the version I run on my HC2 (v4.130), but it may in the future of course.. So if you dig the colors, that might be a consideration. Then again, how often do you actually use colors? I never do.. You can also consider the classic Zipato bulbs. If I remember correctly those did work with the whole rgb thing, but had difficulties producing anything that even remotely looked like (w)w, back in the days when I tried them. Might have been improved with more recent HCL/HC2 firmware; can;t tell you. Also there is the Aeon Labs bulb, which I have no experiences with.

Oh and also the Philips Hue might be an option, but the main reason for me to not use them in my 'production environment'(aka home ;) ) is the fact that if Philips tomorrow decide to change their strategy/policy there is a possibility things won't work anymore.. Or Fibaro with a nice creative FW upgrade, breaking down stuff (hey, havent we all been there? ;) ).. Don't need that in my home.

I use the zipato, works well when using lua scenes to control it, because of a lack of ios support.
