force communication on fakro shutters

Hi Fibaro guys and girls,

 

I purchased a fakro window and shutter setup and know struggling with the shutters but also found a solution. 

 

the shutters are only powered when the windows are closed, so a window open with a closed shutter results in:

1. close window

2. sleep 130 seconds (to get the windows closed)

3. close shutter

4. sleep 130 seconds (to get the shutters closed)

5. open window

 

only when the windows are open for a few minutes the communications fails a fibaro set this device as dead and I cant activate it anymore.

 

I tried to force polling every 15 seconds, but this did not do the trick. When I activated the general fibaro setting (poll sleeping modules) the modules came to life. 

 

Now trying to finetune and even going to find a possiblity to open just a bit a windows (with the stop command).  A review will been written this month!

 

does anyone has a method that does the same trick as clicking on a device to wake it up in lua?

are the window openers 230volt?

i own a couple of these they do not appear dead, i had to include them close by the hc2 (secured inlude)

The windows are not the problem,  the shutters are, they are disconnected from the windows when the windows are opened.

how are they disconnected? with a button or a switch?

these are the ARF Zwave internal blinds and the are powered by a copper contact connected to the window. Only at close position it is making contact.

can't you bridge that contact?

what are the costs of that internal blind?

Hi Barend,

For your script to work set the following setting "Mark if dead" to "No" in the advanced settings panel of your Fakro ARF Zwave Roller blinds.

This way you dont have to click to force communication on your roller blinds when they reconnect to the 15V DC power input.

that option is not available for fakro shutters:

 

 

 

I though I solved it by setting the global setting, poll sleeping devices. But after a day a disabled that setting and it looks ok for now.

 

will keep an eye on it, and if it stills fails I will put back the global setting poll sleeping devices back on (although this will generate maybe more zwave traffic in my house).
