Setting up a siren for my alarm

Question

Posted

Hi!

I have bought a Vision siren that I want to use for my alarm setup in my garage. I have a door sensor set up already and am wondering the best way to trigger the siren using the alarm panel?

Thanks!

    Hi @Ole,

I would suggest to create a scene, that has checked Do not allow alarm to stop scene while alarm is running and some nonsence condition, such as weather temperature is higher than 666.

then in alarm panel, press add action select that scenes. It is one of triggers that can trigger (see code below) the scene if created as block scene, if you make scene in lua, you just need folowing code:

Thanks, I have selected a scene in the Alarm Panel that does that. I just thought there might be a cleaner way than using a scene with a rubbish condition that is run manually by the Alarm Panel. But thanks for the reply!
