getSourcetrigger ID phone

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi, my wife would like to get a pushnotification when she sets the alarm. So I want to make a lua script in which it checks whether it is her phone that triggers the script. If so, then it should send here a push notification.

Thought of the following but it doesn't work because 'DeviceID' is nil. Any idea on how to check whether it was a phone that triggered the device and if it was a phone, which one?

It has the code to send the message (which I already have). But not a way to check if a mobile phone triggered the device.

So if i use my phone to activate a scene, I only want to send the push notification to my device. If my girlfriend activates the scene it should only send to her device.

normally i would use getsourcetrigger('deviceID') but lua does not see the mobile phone as a device when I activate a scene using a mobile

UPDATE: Maybe I can use UserID to do this? Is there a way to check which person pressed a scene button?

sorry. I don't know how to achiev this.

Maybe with a presence check executed before sending the push.

Example: is iPhone answering on a ping in WLAN? Yes-> notfiy

Or geofencing, which I don't recomend,  as the fibaro app will drain the battery before you are outside the door.

    Hi @eureka,

at this moment I don't know how to get user ID that started scene, but there is a way using VD. You can make virtual device for each user with button to start alarm scene and then make VD visible only for that user! Since each VD has its unique ID number it is then easy to know who set the alarm!

    Enjoy coding :-)
