Question

Hi

My APC UPS has a AP9630 network interface and my Synology 916+ NAS is setup to monitor and shutdown gracefully when the UPS is low on battery.

Is there a was to do something similar with my HC2 so it shuts down gracefully rather than just bomb when the UPS battery is finally exhausted?

I would have hoped for native support for SNMP v1.0 or v2.1 or v3.0 for this in the product or at least via a plugin.

Has anyone cracked?

Regards

Julian

Currently I am working on APC UPS Monitor for HC2. There will be an option to shutdown HC2 when the UPS battery is low and no power connection.

I'm assuming it will be via ethernet rather than direct usb connection right?

Also very interested even I am on the HCL but maybe I can abstract it to the possibilities of the HCL.

If only those two connectors for the not existing extension modules of the HCL would be documented...... As there was the intention to have a backup battery, there is for sure a shutdown pin or alike.

Communication with APC UPS is via ethernet.

I see there is some interest of this here so I will focus on fine polishing what I have and share.  Pls be patient.
