Scenes with Sonos/Logitech harmony plugins/devices

Question

Posted

I don't understand much of scenes. I am using plugins of Logitech harmony and Sonos. I can use this plugins, but I want to use them in scenes. Is this possible?  I don't see them when I try to make a scene, they are not showing up under devices. I can't select them. How to setup this to make it work. I want to start a fibaro wall plug and after that I want to start Sonos speaker with some music. Hope somebody can help me with this.

Hello!

@Robert66, where you cannot find those devices?

Usually, devices such as Sonos do not monitor anything so they shouldn't act as triggers.

Could you make and share a screenshot with us?

Finally, how do you do this scene? With graphic blocks? Lua code? Magic scenes?

I can find  the  devices under devices. But not use them in scenes. I tried to make scenes  with graphics blocks and Magic scenes.

Don't know how to get a print screen of  it. Using a Mac.

@Robert66, you should find Sonos VD under graphic block scene:

Please login or register to see this attachment.

And to make a screenshot on Mac, you can use this key combination:

    Shift-Command (⌘)-3 - entire screen

    Shift-Command (⌘)-4 - part of the screen

More info about screenshots on Mac on

Ok, thanks..I used also the Sonos Plugin but this one is not a virtual device, so I guess can't use it in scenes?

It's strange but the Sonos Plugin gives me a good setup, I can play music from the Sonos box then, but the Sonos Player (virtual device) did not so far. So I have to find out what the problem is so the Sonos Player is also working

It may be worth checking out the other two methods of using Sonos with hc2

    Sonos Remote

    Sonos-http-api

You get a great leave of control and stability with these integrations
