HC2 Gateway connection

[MDC 78]

I receive my second HC2 today and start play whit him.

First test was gateway connection. Work great if you are in same network.

 

I try to move one HC2 in other location whit other IP and try to make gateway connection, not work.

So....gateway connection work only on local network same IP.

You never try gateway connection?

Make separate z-wave network on other slave HC and see all device in master HC, merge them via IP.

Well, i buy another HC2, since i plan electric system for my new building, i need to test all scenario to be sure fibaro is what i need.

Since my building is big i will need 2 or 3 HC2 to cover all areas.

Today i was to my new building and test in real live some module position on the field, and after that i decide i need 2 controllers in gateway connection.

First i was thinking can make my home controlLer as a master and my building controller as slave. That work great when test all in my home on same ip, but when i move to new ip not work anymore.

I have DNS for my building, i can see cameras but no FIBARO.

 

I plan to visit IFA Berlin, maybe new technologies there....who know...

unfortunately HC2 does not always work on different networks, some routing might be necessary (routing proxy might be solution as well, however i haven't tested this).

There is as well ajax related problem in gateway connections (Ajax same origin policy), that's why remote gateway with different ports didn't work.
