How to use plugin in a scene

Question

Posted

Ok, next question... sorry for being such a noob...

How can I use the plugin in a scene? It doesn't show in the list of VD's ... (notably I'm guessing as it isn't a normal VD!)

It shows in my device list... I have the ID number.... but magic scene and blocks don't show it as a useable device?

Hi @swisstoni,

It's not possible to call functions from plugin in a block scene.

You need to utilize Lua. Check the examples below:

To turn the plugin ON/OFF, just use the two lines below:

Please login or register to see this code.

To toggle Mute ON/OFF:

To click radio button:

If a given plugin has documentation, you can check available parameters.

Please login or register to see this attachment.

Then you can simulate clicks (UI.*) with GET method, an example below:

Please login or register to see this code.

@I.Srodka, this can be a potential feature request, that can slightly affect sales of HCL (increase).

HCL users were not happy, when i said to them, that they cannot use plugins in block scene.
