Notification sent only once

Question

Posted

Hello!

I would like a notification to be sent to my email, when the temperature in a certain room is below let's say 22°C. The scene below works fine, except that i get an email every minute. How can i set the scene, so that i get notified only once?

Hi @Carpy,

First of all, what device do you have, Home Center Lite or Home Center 2?

    It is Home Center 2.

The only solution which comes to my mind right now is Lua.

You would need to write the Lua scene with a global variable.

You can check this basic tutorial to see how it looks like:

    Hi @Carpy,

you can try also with block scenes but you will need to use at least one global variable and two scenes. One scene can check temperature if bellow 22 degrees and global set to 0 then send message and set global to 1. Just make sure that scene is not triggered by this global variable, remove thick in front of it.

Second scene can check if temperature is above 22 degrees and if it is then set that global variable back to 0. This scene should also be triggered only by temperature sensor.

Solution with LUA can be done with only one scene.
