Changing battery in Fibaro Door/Window Sensor

Recommended Posts

Hi

I've seen few posts on this and other forums about this problem but none have worked so wondering if anyone has got a solution.

For the first time the battery died in my Fibaro door sensor and I can't get it to work after replacing it...

I have tried resetting it as per instructions on the forum :

I have also tried Vesternet's manual:

- The sensor can still be added/deleted from HC2

- LED doesn't blink when magnet is held close / removed from the body

- When paired with the HC2 and after holding both TMP buttons, removing and inserting battery again, the LED blinks slowly 10 times

I have tried two different batteries as well...

I have been struggling myself with this sensor what my problem was I added to network but to mount sensor I had to remove battery. When I  re-inserted battery I cannot use sensor again. Every time I had to remove this sensor from my network but also found when removing and adding battery you can ad sensor more than once in network  but only last one is working.

I found only way to be able to get system to work in my network was to add it to network after the sensor was mounted without removing battery again. When removing battery from  sensor, sensor stop responding to network. Problem is I had to move my controller to be in range to add it to network. I am not sure if this will help you solve you’re problem or if this is similar to what you experience but hope this helps

Thanks for this. I have just tried adding it again closer to my HC2 but no joy. My main problem is that it seems that the magnet stopped working...

I lost my original magnet since you don’t get those magnets loose I had to use different magnet but still works
