Help recover

This morning my HC2 shut itself of after the starting procedure. I tried many times, took it out to cool down etc but nothing changed.

 

I then started it in recovery mode and hoped to use a backup from two days ago. The backup was done with 4.130 and after recovery my HC2 have 4.056. I guess I need to update my HC2 to 4.130 before doing the recovery but cannot find how to. I downloaded the files from

 but cannot find "install from file" in the recovery mode?

 

I also tried installing the recovery directly to 4.056 but of course this didnt work. so hade to do the recovery again

 

So please, can anyone tell me how to install 4.130 on my HC2 so that I can restore my backup?

First You need upgrade HC2. After restore you need wait some time to HC2 display information about available update. I'm not remember if update doing in one step direct to 4.140 or  in 2 step (to 4.100 and after to 4.140). But you will restore backup from 4.130 on 4.130 or upper version.

One time (around 3mounth ego)  when I was restoring my HC2 from 4.056 I was only possibility to upgrade from 4.056 to newest version on fibaro web site (without possibility to select firmware)

Thanks for your answer. I updated to 4.130 and was able to restore the backup. It worked fine for alittle while but then the initial problems came back  The HC2 now gives me 503.. So tired of working with this now, and my house setup is really reliant of the C2 to be workking, can for example not close the blinds in the bedrooms if it is down. So now i have ordered a second HC2 unit so that the can work side by side/have a failover.

Did You call call or email fibaro support for remote assist? Maybe Fibaro gays help You?

 

Do you upgraded to 4.130 or 4.136, 4.140. If your fw is 4.136 or plus? Maybe You have autorun scene or VD with command for synchronize time. This command reboot HC2. If problem is on scenes or VD the 503 error return on Your new HC2 after restoration of backup from old HC2.

 

If You have time for want to risk and test...

For check scene is easy,  you need:

copy from recovery USB last backup two time (for security reason )

All you do on second copy

You check file in directory \scenes and comments by --[[    --]] your code in all lua file

copy edited file to same place on usb and check if HC2 work without 503 error.

Is problem not solved You need check VD mainloop code, but is most compliaceted. You need open file SQL by any mySQL editor (ex

)and  edit NEW_Property table. Find all records when name like mainLoop and edit Value (add symbol --[[ --][ to comments code to not run).

After this You need copy file to USB Key and put new checksum for SQL to checksum file (linux command - md5sum) and copy to USB too.

And restore edited backup

When HC start well You will check scenes and VD one by one,

When problem not solved recopy to USB not edited version of backup.
