False Fibaro smokealarm and lights switching on and off

remcoploeg

Question

This night I had (again) a great appointment with my HC. At 3 o clock in the night one Fibaro Fire Alarm (latest version with latest updates) went of. Gladly there was no fire, but in this month (since the update of HC2) I have more false alarms then before. The strange thing this night is that all (connected) Fibaro lights went also on-off-on-off-etc. I rebooted the device, but the lights still turning on and off. So I had to kill the mainswitch and turned everything on again. Gladly the lights went off.... As far as I known I don't have any scene doing this and the false alarm in the last month didn't have this 'function'. Off course the troubleshooting with scenes runned is terrible, so I can't check what was the root cause of switching all my lights on/off.

In the blackbox of the Fibaro SmokeAlarm I saw 1 spike of smoke (same as the other false alarms). I have more then 10 Fibaro SmokeAlarm (yes, I was crazy) and most of them are doing this. Can somebody from the community of Fibaro can give the clarification why lights are turning on/off. And why there are still false alarm of Fibaro SmokeAlarms. I know a lot off people have this...

@remcoploeg

You probably using Fibaro switch to turn on/off the lights.

Parameters 40-43 define the flash mode in case of alarm.

I believe in your case the the Smoke alarm (parameter 42) set as default value, which means flash the lights.

Please change this parameters (and all others) to 0 - alarm frame is ignored

Regarding the false alarms --- you can try to change the sensor sensitivity. In addition Fibaro Smoke detector sends few types of alarms (Smoke, Malfunction, Temperature, Z-wave range and Low Battery). Please verify which type causes the alarm, it might be not a Smoke (fire) alarm.

    Same problem here.

    And always at a time that is to early.

    6:55 on a sunday )-;.

    One spike in the smoke sensor and then nothing. It should ignore it before sounding the alarm....
