Alarm panel Emergency lights lights on after resume alarm

Question

Posted

Hello,

I use Emergency lights scene from alarm panel. If alarm start this scene, all lights start flashing.

But after clearing alarm the lights stays at last state, some on, some off. The lights should switch to last state before alarm.

I found it time ago.

And I made extra scene, that check end-of-alarm state and switch off the lights.

To find out the end of alarm, I have a small scene triggered by Alarm, this scene works in a loop, and every several seconds checks arming state of my sensors. When arming is off, it means that alarm is off. But it is not perfect. When light flashing takes few minutes. You can also add special conditions to the scene, to check time from alarm event.

But in general I am careful with light-flashing at alarm case. In the past I had there most of my lights. But I found, that HC2 sends ON-OFF signal in the loop, to all these lights, and generate lot of traffic. I initially thought, that light controllers get Alarm ON signal, and controls flashing themselfes, till Alarm OFF signal. But it is not the truth.

Due to increased traffic I had problems with execution of some other code, critical for alarms (sending SMS, Push messages, triggering alarm buzzer and IP cameras). It was executed with delays. When I decreased number of flashing lights to 3-4, other code started to work more smooth. But it was 4.13x version, maybe now it works better.

Yes, thanks, but I think FIBARO should your default scenes make right, and this is error. I hope someone from FIBARO writes when it will be repaired.

    Hello,

We're looking into the scene. At the moment, we observed that lights stayed on after disabling the alarm and it is an expected behavior (for now).

We'll get back to you with more information :)

    Hello,

I think the behavior is the lights stayed at state at which they are at moment disarming, not at on state. Scene is well, but it should check states before alarm and set it after alarm again.
