pump switching depending on temperature

Question

Posted

Hello,

I would like to ask you for a help, or your opinion...

I have temperature sensors in every room (About 10 rooms). Each room has a Danfoss radiator head and.... I have a 1 pump, connected to the Fibaro relay. This pump is on the storage tank, so, if I want to heat the house (or room), this pump must be runned.

No, I have a switch in the storage room, so I can switch it manually ON and I have 1 room connected to this pump (in linked devices). But now, as I am trying to connect another temperature sensors, etc.. I need to configure the system that room with lowest temperature will power ON the pump.

Each room has different temperature settings - depence on time - bathroom, living roon, bedroom... (seems me to be logic) and if the temperature is lower then the setup, I need pump to be run (if already isnt), but I cannot setup more linked devices to the pump (If I setup 2 or more linked devices to the pump, it switch on and off the pump every minute :( )

Do you have please any idea?

I would be very thankful.

Thank you

Lukas

Hello

I think you have to use LUA

The pump can only turn off if all divices or off.

or scene

room 1 -pump on

room 2 -pump on

room 3 -pump on

room 1 off and room 2 off and room 3 off than pump off

    Hello,

probably. yes. The pump can turn off, if the temperature in all rooms is OK, if any room has a lower temperature, then it should, the pump must run.

You think, it will be possible do it also by scene? I just cannot imagine now.. May I ask you for a .. "Better" example? :)

    Thank you!

So, it works with the script in Lua.. pretty fine. Hopefully, I will test it for next few days, but I am now quite happy :).

Do you know, If I can turn on/off the Grundfos Alpha 2 pump directly from the Fibaro Relay, or I should use contactor (now I am using the contactor, but it does not measure actually the power consumption).

    Thank you.

I woud use a contactor ,if it breaks a contactor is cheaper than a fibaro module.

    Picture is a example.
