Restore my HCL to another HCL

Question

hi, My HCL have issua. I want to change backup file to another HCL.

pls, help me change it? The HCL save file in store.

sorry for my english. thanks

Hi @annhan91!

 

There is no way for you to restore a backup from one HCL to another.

 

The only way to do this is to sent both Home Centers to us (you pay for the shipping one way).

 

And we will send it back to you covering shipping costs the return way.

@I.Srodka: We are back to the old topic. Please do NOT bind the backup to the serial number of the HCL and do NOT store it on 'your' server. Let the user store it to their local drives, like all the others do it (AVM/Zyxel/Synology/Vera/OpenHAB/...).

This is for me the most critical drawback of the Fibaro system that you cannot restore your system in case of hardware failure.

My HCL has worked without any failure the last year but still it’s important to have a disaster plan.
