Hi Guys, it will be obvious to most of you i guess, but today we have swapped form BT to Virgin media for our ISP.  I knew that there would be a certain amount of chasing around to get things back on the new network, but i cannot connect to my HC2.

Check http://192.168.81.1. If this is not the right address:

Do you remember whether you had your IP address set to manual or automatic?

if automatic, you can use Fibaro finder to retrieve it

Please login or register to see this link.

If manual, you can reset the lan settings using the recovery button

Please login or register to see this link.

hopefully this helps!

I've tried the Fibaro finder but it brings nothing up. I have managed to get to the login screen by putting the HC2 into recovery mode and connecting with a cat5 lead directly, but when i put in my last email and password it now will not allow me access.

think its going to be a call to tech support tomorrow.

    Hello @Snowman28!

Are you connected to your new wifi?

You could also try connecting your Home Center directly via ethernet cable.

The HC2 is not yet connected to the news ISP, I can not access it as it currently has the old connection settings. My problem is that I need to access the HC2, but have no way of gaining access, the WiFi is now the new system and if I connect with a lead I get the message that my hc2 is registered to another account...grrrr!

As @I.Srodka mentioned connect your PC directly to the HC2.

But please set your PC IP address to the same segment as HC2. For example:

    HC2 IP = 192.168.1.12

    PC IP = 192.168.1.18

    default DNS/gateway  IP = 192.168.1.1

Guys i have placed my HC2 into recovery mode, connected via ethernet cable to other PC. I have held in the learn button to force the HC2 into assigning 192:168:81:1 as the static IP for me to connect.

Disabled wifi connections on the network adapter and changed the configuration to be;-

    pc ip 192:168:81:25

    Subnet 255.255.255.0

    default gateway 192.168.81.1

but when i try to connect via web browser to 192:168:81:1 i can not connect. "this webpage is not available"

I have tried a different ethernet cable.

I have tried a different laptop

Oh and network adapter socket on HC2 has both LED's lit

But i still get the same responses HELP...

    Hi @Snowman28!

Could you use Fibaro Finder (

Please login or register to see this link.

to find the IP address of your Home Center?

I doubt that Home Center will have the same IP address as the default gateway.

I tried using the fibre finder... didn't work...

I tried holding the learn button in on the HC2 to set a static IP address... still couldn't connect...

I dropped an email direct to Fibaro support, not really much help all they could do was direct me through the steps i have already taken and said if that didn't work to return the HC2...!

As a last resort i held in the learn button (about 30 secs) on the HC2 and i noticed that the LED's for the network flashed in a different sequence. Following this i managed to connect...

Set the address to the new router, connected, restored, and updated as required.

This is the real first issue i have had with the HC2 within 2years, very disappointing with the response from Fibaro themselves (even tried ringing the support line - just and answer phone message..). I expected more from a 'so called' premium brand in the home automation market.

I have also noted that during the restore if i asked the HC2 to carry out a soft reconfiguration on any device, it forgot the password that had been set and i had to change it every time it saved the reconfiguration - very annoying and time consuming.

moral of the story... dont believe all that is written...
