[SOLVED]Motion +below lux = on. No motion 300s = off not working

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi all,

I am only working with block scenes at this stage.

I have three scenes controlling my kitchen.

1. If motion is detected and its between 7:01am and 10:59 pm and lux < 50 then turn on  downlights 100% and strip to 50%

2. If motion is detected and its between 11:00pm and 07:00am and lux < 50 then turn on  downlights 5%

3. If no motion is detected where delay is 300sec turn off downlights and strip.

Now for the most part this all works well and the time and lux based on scenes are perfect,  however around bedtime say 9 - 12 pm the lights sometimes turn off and other times they don't even though there's no movement. The off function has me stumped for consistent reliability. Please help

edit: I have noticed some of the times its not turning off, the event panel shows a lux and/or temp udate from that sensor has occurred during the 300 sec. Could this interfear with the scene?

The interval time settings that you use can not be used as a condition.

Better to set variables like: daytime, evening, night and set these according to the times and then use these variables in your scene.

Thanks for your reply Weinog. This was actually a doubled up post sorry. However, by increasing the allowable running instances it is now working perfectly within those time parameters. In fact, I’ve actually added another time frame into the mix and it’s working awesome.
