Cannot add any devices

Hi, 

 

Background:

I bought six Double Switch 2, three dimmers and a remote from Australia, and a Home Centrer from the UK (which has a US plug)

 

Issue:

I cannot get any of the devices to be recognised.  I initially thought that it might be how my sparky had wired it, but as the remote doesn't work either, I am wondering whether HC2 from another country would be an issue, whether my HC2 is faulty, or whether I'm doing something wrong in the set up (I've followed all the manuals etc).

 

I'd really appreciate any help as need to set up ASAP as mother with very limited vision is coming to stay and the whole expense was for her visit.

Unfortunately Australia and the UK are using different frequencies

It can be a problem, You wrote that dimmers and double switch 2 are from Australia. Please look on label what frequency it use? It got "AH"

AH mean that device use Australian frequency for z-wave

Now please look on Home center what short it got? "EU" "US" or "AH" ?

Many thanks. My devices are all AH, whereas the home centre is EU. I assume that there is no way to change and I just need to buy a home centre in AH and put the EU on eBay?

Yes, you're right. Moreover, it may be forbidden to use the frequency from other region as some of your local telecommunication companies may utilize them.
