Question

Posted

hi guys,

I have a room with 5 hue lights and i wondered is there a way to program in lua to turn them all off in one line ,rather than listing all five out and turning them off one by one?

Thanks in advance!

Find the general widget ID in the UI and turnOff in Lua.

This will turn off all your lights BUT also in other rooms if you have any....

Don't know if HUE plugin supports HUE group of lights, but I don't think so.

I use my Philips HUE VD for group of lights. In Philips HUE original app you can group lights into rooms or special groups. That groups of lights get their own ID same as single bulbs. In latest HUE VD it is then possible to setup that group ID instead of light ID so VD will control all of them at once.

You can download Philips HUE VD for group lights here:

I have new version of Philips HUE VD v3.0 that is universal VD (supports all types of bulbs that can be connected to HUE bridge) and groups of lights. Also it will be much easier to install it and setup. The only catch is that it is part of the UHAS (Universal Home Automation System).
