Hi,

I have a HIKVISION Camera DS-2CD2385FWD-I and I wonder how I can add it to the HC2 as there is no plugin for that camera.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I would try the HiKvision DS2cd2132i - it must be close enough.

There is one called Hikvision Ds2cd2132i and one Hikvision Ds2cdd2712fi

Tried Hikvision ds2cd2132i - can't see any pictures/streaming on the HC2 . When I take a picture (email it to myself) its only 2kb small and it can't be open...

You have to know the camera’s MPEG stream. Look in the manual. That stream you will have to write into the plugin.

    The camera's sub-stream/mjpeg is following

    /Streaming/Channel/102

If I type this into VLC media player it will show the stream

    rtsp://username:password@IP/Streaming/Channel/102

    But I can't get any pictures/stream in the HC2

    Does your Hikvivion provide a mjpeg-stream ?

In some cases, you need to add the port to the ip (e.g. 192.xxx.xxx.xxx:80)

It says on the Sub-stream, video Encoding - MJPEG, so that must be mjpeg stream?

Tried with port :554 (rtsp) in the IP address field, and Streaming/Channels/102 in the MJPG stream path, but with no luck

Fibaro does not support mjpg and jpg over rtsp. You need mjpg and jpg over HTTP protocol.

:D Got some pictures from the camera, with /Streaming/channels/102/picture - better than nothing
