Popp Strike Lock

Hallo,

there is still no template for the popp strike lock (12501) provided. But with the latest Firmware (1.5) parameters also won't work any longer.

Popp explains (my own translation excuse me):

"Due to z-wave regulations we implant a new class. Till now this is not provided by Fibaro hosts. We don't offer a downgrading since we lost z-wave certification.

So please wait for a Fibaro update to come."

 

Is there any confirmation from fibaro about hat issue?

Is a solution to be expected?

hi @ggoetz56,

there was another thread about the strike lock. Unfortunately it disappeared somehow.

 

A user was in contact with popp and got a flash tool and firmware 1.3 from them.

Probably you could downgrade using that tool.

 

Can't remember the name of the user either, but hope he sees this thread and can help.

still trying to find something in my computer.

There is the whole topic about it. But there is no solution.

 

When I contacted the Popp, their attitude was like:

 

"A downgrade is not possible. V1.5 is the latest firmware."

"It is not possible to downgrade or replace the firmware to/with v1.3."

"The Problem is the Z-Wave Certification. Version 1.3 is not certified. Version 1.5 match Certification Specs."
"In Z-Way you can do it via the expert-UI for example. Go to the "Expert Commands" tab of that device and use the DoorLock CC to control the device and set a timeout. "

 

In attachment, there are files with firmware versions 1.4 and 1.5, but I can not figure out how to make downgrade, maybe someone knows. I tried it via Z-Way but without success.
