Question

Hello,

I have 2 problems with Danfoss RS-Z thermostats and would like to know if someone else had the same issues and how to resolve them.

They are connected with HCL and have been working without problems for 6 months

1. Z-wave icon on display is shown constantly,  set temperature can be changed via buttons but HCL does not register the change. Restarting HCL does not help. Restarting the RS-Z helps but the same issue appear after few minutes. HCL is in range and temperature reading from RS-Z is correct.

2.  RS-Z does not respond to any input. Temperature reading is incorrect and buttons do not change the set temperature. Also, setup button does not work and device can not be restored to factory settings.

Please advise,

Mihalj

You are correct but changing the batteries has not helped if you are aiming at that.

    Hi @mihalj-homelect,

There could be something wrong on radio level in Danfoss RS or Danfoss RS life expired.

Can you try to perform soft reconfiguration on your Danfoss RS?

If soft-reconfiguration does not help, can you try to exclude and include Danfoss RS?

    Hi @jakub.jezek,

Have you ever encountered this problem before? Or something similar?

Soft reconfiguration would only be possible on RS from the first case, I will try it.

@mihalj-homelect, i did not encountered it with Danfoss RS.

I encountered simmilar issue with Heatit about reading temperature. If you change sensor mode there, then you have to make soft-reconfiguration for correct temperature reading through UI.
