Sensative Strips show 2 devices

Question

Posted

Hello,

I have installed several Sensative Strips door/window sensors in HC2. Each of them is detected by the system as 2 devices actually, motion sensor and door sensor. Does anybody know why is it so and what the device installed as motion sensor is used for? Door sensor works fine, the motion sensor is triggered once per several days, no idea what triggers it. Any hint to understand this is appreciated :-)

thx, bye

That is just how the Homecenter2 works. Mine does the same. Hide the movement sensor in the advanced tab. Actually, the movement sensor is used as the alarm trigger in the Homecenter2. However, it is not a separate PIR. It is still just a door sensor.

Many thanks for calrifying this behaviour. I hide the devices as you suggsted so at least main screen is not crowded by useless icons :-)
