Fibaro HCL and Aeotec Multisensor 6 Day Night Motion

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi,

I am having trouble getting an Aeotec sensor to work exactly as I want it to. My requirement is as follows:

At night hours, I need a sensor to detect motion and switch a fibaro 2 switch which in turns turns on some outside lights for a set time. If no movement is detected within that time, then the switch needs to be switched off.

I have the following scene created:

Motion Detect Breached AND Sensor less than 10 lumens THEN Door Switch on AND Door switch off after 30 seconds.

My problem is that once initiated, the switch switches off after 30 seconds regardless of ongoing motion.

I have recreated the test with 2 Scenes:

IF Motion Detect = Breached AND Sensor less than 10 lumens, THEN Door Switch = on

IF Motion Detect NOT= Breached AND Door Switch = On, THEN Door Switch = off after 30 seconds.

This works inconsistently as the conditional test seems to read the NOT=Breached as TRUE, before the  the Sensor Device Icon is showing no motion in the Fibaro Device screen and it's timeout value as set on Parameter 3.

It works as expected much of the time but not reliably enough to deploy

I am running AEONLABS Version 1.8

I have not set any Associations

Can anybody verify that my setup is correct and perhaps the Aeotec Sensor is a a bit flakey?
