Question

Hi all,

I'm bought qubino on/off thermostat and want to use it in temperature control in my sauna.
Any  solution how to setup your thermostat in FibaroHC2 for control temperature more than 35C?
Thank you.

Hello,

some time ago, we tested this on Qubino On/Off thermostat not PWM one.

It should be possible via LUA Scene or also via Block scene to change setpoint to more than 30°.

But in frontend of Fibaro System in Devices Tab, you will not see correct set value under the PWM thermostat icon.

You can try to write email to Fibaro and they should able to change the limitation for thermostat template, but who knows if they will be willing .

Currently the highest value which can be set for any termostat is about 30°, so it could be changed for more.

PS: Maybe if you create the virtual scene where you put the right LUA commands, it could be workarround.

I have a similar setup controlling heat in my shed but without using a thermostat. I use a battery operated temperature monitor. What I have done is that I use a global variable, a virtual device, and a small Lua scene. Is that something you could use? The virtual device makes it possible to set three different temperatures in the shed. The Lua script combines a temperature monitor and a wall plug to an electrical radiator. Works like a charm.
