Backup problems HC2 4.150

Question

Posted

Hi,

HC2 4.150: trying to back up but keep getting errors. Tried all the obvious steps like clear cookies and cache in the browser, restart the HC2, etc... No luck.

Even though I still have enough storage space I tried deleting some previous backups just in case that is the problem: I get an error also: access denied, 403, access forbidden.

Then I checked the recovery tab in the and saw that the Checksum status is Corrupted:
"Corrupted
Calculated checksum does not match (broken image)"

So now I have a system that I cannot backup. I have 600+ devices in 38 rooms, I'm NOT going to reconfigure from scratch...

Anyone has some suggestions?

Some screenshots attached.

Thank you in advance,

APGC

PS: @Fibaro: the frequently requested backup to external devices/locations: when?

Hi @apgc

for 403 error:

#Your alarm panel is disarmed ?

#No running alarm ?

#You're logged in as the admin/superuser ?

Perhaps, this could be a hint:

- Open the WUI of your HC2 and login

- Open http://[IP of your HC2]/api/devices

- Search for "fibaroAlarm":"true"

If you find this string, check the device.

for corrupted issue:

Could be a problem with the USB stick - did you open a support ticket ?

    Hi Orgli,

    Thank you for your answer.

To answer your question: negative on Alarms active, and no "fibaroAlarm":"true" strings found.

To the best of my knowledge I'm logged in as Superuser. But how do I check that to be sure?

Last: corruption: no, I did not submit a ticket yet. Will do that now.

Thank you again for your help.

For those of you who might have a similar issue: Fibaro Support was contacted, they checked the HC2 remotely and it turns out the USB backup key is corrupted.

Solution: send the HC2 to Poland. Expected duration: around 2 weeks (!!!!!).

Fibaro support was very courteous, helpful, but in the end, also helpless... (Thank you Piotr for trying).

@Fibaro: Guys, you really really need to prioritize the online (or on other devices of free choice) backup solution! A home automation system is a CRITICAL part of a home (In my case heating is completely controlled by the HC2, so I will have to wait until the summer before I send my HC2.

    This is ridiculous...

    Fix this please!
