Energy panel peaks

Question

Posted

I have a problem with different devices reporting huge consumption to energy panel. In this example it reports 107 MW (!) for one our. The real load is about 530W

So the kWhs in the energy panel gets completely wrong. Any idea anyone?

Hello @Elfrodo3!

Some more information would be useful.

Could you tell which devices?

Do you have the latest firmware installed? 4.160?

    Hello @I.Srodka!

The device is Philio Technology Corp On / Off Switch wall plug. The wall plug firmware is up to date.

My Fibrao firmware is currently 4.150

Thank you for your quick response.

Could you upgrade your Home Center to 4.160?

Please report back if issue still exists on 4.160 firmware.

Meanwhile, I have V1.160. The problem came back three times this week.

The absolute top can not be seen on the panel.

I have made a scene that I get a message with an energy consumption of more than 4kW, in the message also the current consumption is reported.

I received reports that my energy consumption is 1190000W, 93000W, and once 1168000W.o.O

Please, install the newest firmware and see if the problem will still be present.
We're aware of this issue and we're still working on it.

Dear Fibaro, surely there must be some more long-term solution to the problem. The recommendation to upgrade to the latest version is evidently not helping. We are now in Jan 2020, the current release is 4.570 and the problem remains. The energy calculations and how energy and power data is managed in HC2 is not stable.

My system shows one peak of 26 MW and another one of 1,5 MW in 2019. Both are of course not realistic.

What is more annoying, and what actually disqualifies the HC2 as an energy monitor, is that data is lost sometimes.

When I went in to analyze the 2019 energy statistics on dec 31st, I found that all data leading up to July 27 2019 had been lost. It looks like July 27 is the first day of operation. So, lots of valuable data lost.  Very dissapointing.

It means I need to develop some way to ,on a daily basis, extract all energy data from HC2 and store it somewhere else for later processing in excel for instance.
