Freeze in this version to.

For almost two years I have a problem with freezing hcl. Every day I have to restart hcl a few times a day. Many people have this problem with hcl and Fibaro team with nothing to do.

I can not go to version 1.140 because I replaced the Danfoss radiator heads behind the Fibaro radiator head.

Oohhh happyness. I almost finished to imigrate from HCL to HC2, i have 3 devices, of nearly 30, to add.

Nothing new, all the same. No Scenes or VDs. 26 devices. Disabled most of devices logging in event panel, except  power usage monitoring.

Similar in my case. Since v.4.16 update my HC Lite crashes several times a day and almost always at midnight. The load at night is rather low, no scenes are activated at that time, it simply freezes without any reasons.

I'm curious your experience with HC2. I've been using HCL for over a year and it wasn't working perfectly but acceptable. After the last firmware update it become unusable, freezes couple times a day, scenes sometimes works sometimes not etc. Fibaro support is suggesting wrong configuration but exactly the same configuration was working OK until 4.15 update...  Seems HCL v.4.16 is overloaded with my 49 devices and 15-20 simple scenes, nothing really special.

Such way of development of this products leads to nowhere! They should focus on stability or openly state that HCL is a toy for learning / testing not a serious home automation system.

I updated to 4.160 last week. First all worked fine but after a about 4 days the *abuse* hitted the fan. Several connections to modules  got lost without any cause and adding new connections gave me some trouble too.

Too bad I can't replicate this issue again. 

I had problems like adding a RGB Module and that resulted in a UBS profile. How weird is that?

After reconfiguring several modules my 2 systems got stable again. 

Anyway  4.160 isn't my favorite for now.....

Are you planning to use both HCL and HC2, or full migration to HC2?

Hi, update was done a few data ago and my hcl started freezeing  I came back home today and rooms temperature reached 29 deegres after Hcl crushed. It is very annoying. Fibar improve your toy please.

Four or five 503 errors...lost the count....too unstable.

i am thinking  to roll back to 4.140.

It was very stable.

Similar situation in my case. My HCL stops working always at midnight and from time to time also during the day. Fibaro support is trying to help but haven't found a reliable explanation so far.

In my opinion, you will never get HCL to work as a stable controller. I struggled with a HCL for a long time without any luck, also with support from Fibaro. I don't think it is the software, it is the hardware. I don't have any technical insight on this, my argument is based on using the unit over time.

After switching to a HC2, I have had only ONE freeze and that was while I was doing "heavy" configuration changes. Now I can enjoy my system without the frustration of freezes and without worrying about stability.

Last update is big mistake. I found that

• Hue virtual devices are not working
• Heating panel issue-works on its own
• No feedback from fibaro relay module when it is on or off. No possibility to switch relay off from computer and android app. I needed to cut power off.

Freeeeze 503 error here aswell. HCL is really unstable. At the same time i would not pay so much for the OLD HC2.

I seriously can't believe it, it's been so many months that the HCL is unstable and you have to reboot it every x time. Fibaro, this is your product, you decided to bring it on the market: give us the support! This is goddamn outrageous.

 

As for me, I'm not buying anything Fibaro-related unless hell freezes over. The HC2 might be a lot better, but I'm not going to reward Fibaro for the mess they make with HCL. If you sell your product (HCL is still being sold today), you should make sure it works!
