Hi!

 

what it's mean? 

 

[11:37:10] HC is not primary controller
[11:38:26] HC is not primary controller

 

taking into consideration the fact that no other z-wave servers I have.

 

after restart

    restoring from backup solved my problems. but I want to know root cause issue. @T.Konopka

    Hi @10der!

     

    This error could be caused by two things:

    1) a device was added with some errors

    2) some device could wrongly report as a primary device/controller (some remotes did that in the past) while adding

    Thank you for a response. What a device you are talking about? I was simply clicked on add / remove device panel and got this error. I haven't any plans to add or remove devices. I did not add device(s) past 2 days.

    I know you are an inquisitive guy, and I know you do not own a RaZberry... But... I can confirm what @I.Srodka said. A certain version of Z-Way on a RaZberry Pi claims "primary role", and it does not have a button to transfer back primary role to HC (it should have, but not that particular version). So after this, you can no longer include devices. Fibaro support can fix that remotely.

    1st - _was_ have RaZberry (2y ago) but this device not works at the least 2y since when I bought Fibaro HC. 

    2nd - still not clear what happens.... :(

     

    btw,. for clearing understanding. restoring backup 2days old solved my issues. as true-old-school developer, I do periodically backups :)

    A RaZ... Good for testing.

     

    Do you own a portable controller? Like Aeon Minimote? Or Remotec ZRC-90? I am reasonably sure the ZRC can claim primary role. I own one and I am pretty certain it is in the manual, but it is very confusing if you haven't toyed with "secondary controllers". If you are curious, have a look at the manual of that Remotec.

     

    Actually, portable, primary controllers are older than static controllers like HC.

    Then your HC has crashed. You are not the first one to report it. But it is rare.

    Out of the blue, I got the same message today. I am on 4.510. Tried to restore a backup to no amends. Then did a reboot - nothing. I'm still getting the message when I try to add or remove devices and the "Learn Mode" window does not show. Any ideas? Thanks!

    If restore does not help, the problem might be older than you think... It might have been introduced before that restore point...

    I strongly advice you to mail [email protected] because they can fix that, without you having to restore a (very) old backup...

    Hi @awlieser,

     

    did they fix the problem remotely?

    I have the same issue since i´ve upgraded to 4.5xx, reported to Fibaro in August, they answered in Oct that they are still working. Nothing since then.

    Can you explain @I.Srodka?
