IR blaster for $3

Hi,

 

After looking at those zwave IR blasters that cost $100+ i've created one for $3 - it's basically wemos with an IR diode connected. i does it's job perfectly and it is enough to just call an URL like this: 192.168.0.20/mute to mute the TV.

it works like magic when used from a web browser, however when i'm creating VD with the following code it has around 15s (!!!) delay:

 

POST /mute HTTP/1.1
Host: myHCLaddress

 

did any of you guys experienced this kind of delays when using POST from VDs?

ok, i've managed to change implementation of web server on wemos and it works well now.

 

is it possible that virtual devicec cannot be used as linked device in AC? it seems now that i can't actually control AC via VD other than either manually or create very complicated scenes to make different temps throughout the day... ?

would you please share the code for wemos board?

How did you change the webserver implementation to avoid delay, what was the reason of delay?

How do you get the IR codes for your device (television,etc)? I tried to read it via IR receiver attached to the wemos board, but every time I press some button on the remote controller, I get different values every time.
