backup via rest

Question

Posted

hi guys!

Does anybody know how to create HC2 back via rest?

I have some issues with HC2 Free Memory after one-week uptime.  it's not unusual. It's permanent issue :)

I want to create a backup file via rest command instead of attending to simple reboot device.

If I good understending your question

REST POST http://HCIP/api/service/backups

DATA:

{"action":"create","params":{"name":"description"}}

but of course when you lunch this rest command they do reboot of HC2 to stop all proces and close open files.

And for restore POST http://HC2IP/api/service/backups/ with payload {"action":"restore","params":{"id":928}}. "id" for chosen backup I take form GET http://HC2IP/api/service/backups

Generally combination of http get, post commands  for backup management via rest I use in my backup solution described in:
